German WW1 Named Infantry Pork Pie Other Ranks Field Cap.

Field grey wool with redwood piping and cap band. Has both state and national cockades.
The white linen lining intact and officially ink stamped
with size mark "57" and unit Regiment marked "J. R 98" ( Infantry Regiment 98 "Metz" ). there is also a unit tailer applied name tag on the inside lining "Musketier Puff, Inf Regt 98".

Overall very good condition some light moth nips only, particular to the cap band. The interior lining spot stained consumate with age. Worthy of future research into the involvement of Infantry Regiment 98 during the war.
