A good example of the “Polo style” pattern. Horizon blue wool with subdued braid rank band for a “Sous-Lieutenant” and a Hungarian quarter foil knot to the top. The chinstrap also in the same semi fine wool. Missing one of the chinstrap buttons on one side. Black leather visor and oilcloth lining.

Wide60 mm light brown leather officer’s waist belt. Grey zinc alloy double claw buckle. Provision for cross strap. Berlin maker marked and dated 1942 on the reverse of the buckle.
