WW1 Imperial German 1915 Kaiserliche Marine Navy Flare Pistol

This is an extremely scarce German flare pistol introduced in 1915 and utilized by the Imperial German Navy throughout World War I. The only markings on the pistol are ST & B15 on the butt which indicate the maker, Stantien & Becker. These flare pistols were primarily for Naval use but they saw some service on land as well.

The pistol is an all-brass construction with two piece walnut grips. The breech is opened via two checkered tabs on either side of the barrel. The brass is all in fair shape with a bit of tarnishing throughout.
