British “Hendry” Pattern Fireman’s Leather Helmet
An extremely well preserved example given that it’s nearly entirely made of leather. The blackened leather with a most appealing polished look. The false chinstrap and peak edging in polished brass compliment the leather. Complete with leather liner and chinstrap. Overall retains a great shape. The leather skull retains its hard shell and the rear peak still flexible.
There is no makers mark.
This example probably dates somewhere from the 1930’s - 1950’s. The photos don’t do it justice.
