WW1 Prussian Foot Guards Pickelhaube

A good example of the Model 1897 Other Ranks pattern for Prussian Foot Guards 1st Infantry Battalion , Train or Pioneers.

This is overall a good fairly untouched all original example.

Black leather body with obvious heavy crazing to the body and bubbling to the front and rear visors. White metal other ranks spike, front peak and rear spine. The front visor now lost its stitching and pivots up and down and retained by the side rivets. Other ranks white metal foot guards helmet plate. Original leather chinstrap with white metal fittings. The state and national cockades appear to be original examples but post war repainted. Has its original black leather liner intact and in good condition. The rear visor marked BAG and GFR for a Guards unit and dated 1910.
Overall a good original matching parts example.
