Australian Pre-Federation 1897 Infantry Officers Sword

A very nice example of the pattern carried by infantry officers during the Boer War with a Sydney retailer name on the blade.

Straight broad, single fullered blade , acid etched with floral design and imperial crown. Proof mark to the ricasso as well as retailers name “ C Anderson” of “Sydney”. Voided bowl guard with a very decorative VR cipher and complete with brown leather sword knot.
