WW1 Souvenir German Sea Mine Fragment

A fantastic little display item. An original car box for .303 Small arms ball ammunition dated 1913. This with a hand written label on the inside.“Fragment of a German Mine found by mine sweepers “Hindu” and “Curlew” off Bombay 3/1/18”.

The twisted cast steel fragment approx 65mm with hand written tag (period betting ticket) attached “ German mine fragment off Bombay 3/1/18 MS Hindu.”
