WW2 British Army Major - General Slip on Rank

A nice matching wartime slip on pair of shoulder rank devices. Jungle green cotton drill slides each with a gilt metal pip and a matching pair of opposed crossed sword and button for Major - General. The crossed swords and buttons are the older WW1 type pattern. ( Large wide and in plain brass). A common practice to use to older patterns in WW2. Not to mention that these ranks badges hardly ever turn up just when you need them.
