WW2 Australian Army Nurses Ward Dress

A rare and impressive display lot. This lot has all been put together by a collector. Includes an original period white cotton war dress, white cotton “Red Cross” apron with a separately applied cross to the chest. These two items were once sold as being WW1 by an unscrupulous dealer who put a WW1 Australian ink stamps. These are not WW1 but are original WW2 period items and now correctly displayed. The fake ink stamps have been blacked out. Comes with an original scarlet wool cape with oxidized rank pips and nationality titles. Together with a nurses white metal (nickeled) rising sun collar badge with brooch pin reverse and a period Alfred Hospital nurses enamel badge. Not named or attributed. A seldom seen impressive Womens service uniform.
