German WW1 Death Card
German World War I death cards, known as Sterbebilder, were memorial cards typically created by a soldier's family and distributed at funerals. These cards served as an obituary, prayer card, and keepsake to honor the fallen soldier.
A Lieutenant and Infantry Battalion Adjutant. Recipient of the Bavarian Merit Cross and the Iron Cross. Killed 23rd July 1918.
