German World War I death cards, known as Sterbebilder, were memorial cards typically created by a soldier's family and distributed at funerals. These cards served as an obituary, prayer card, and keepsake to honor the fallen soldier.

Killed in action 3rd October 1918 , a Cpl in 14th Infantry Regt and recipient of the Iron Cross.
