Prussian Infantry Officers M1895 Pickelhaube

A nicely shaped original example of the officer pattern. The black leather body retaining a nice rounded shape. To the top of the dome two old repairs either side of the spike base. Has all brass fittings including the front peak mount, the rear spine, spike base secured with four star studs, detachable spike, officers leather backed chin scales, officer state and national cockades and officers fire gilt helmet plate. The interior fitted with the original Officer two part silk lining with leather sweatband that has an English name and address hand written and probably the soldier who initially souvenired it. The officers original name also hand written on the underside of the back peak. Overall a very well presented helmet.
