A Large Rare Late Victorian or Edwardian Sportsman’s Bowie Knife by Wilkinson. Sold private by retails as a sportsman knife ( hunting Knife).
Round all wood handle with single pommel rivet. small oval nickel metal cross guard. Nickelled bowie style fixed blade 240mm. The Picasso with acid etched makers mark " Wilkinson Pall Mall London".

Together with its matching brown leather covered wooden sheath with integral belt loop.

Excellent condition with only light scuffing to the sheath.

Overall length 380mm

known to have been taken and used in both the Boer war and WW1 as a private purchase fighting knife.
