Australian Pre-Federation Braendlin Cadet Martini Socket Bayonet
A rather rare NSW issue bayonet. Locally altered /converted from a Pattern 1853 bayonet. The .450 New South Wales issue Braendlin Cadet Martini socket bayonet was in use in the early 1890s. Locally altered Patten 53 bayoneit made to suit the Braendlin cadet rifle. Has the Pre-Federation Australian prefix stamp “A” to the top of the socket and serial number “260”. The socket rebushed with a steel sleeve and is approximately 1mm larger at the muzzle end.

Comes with its 1st pattern scabbard c.1853-60. This in extremely good and fits perfectly to the blade.
