WW2 RAF Attributed Volunteer Reserve Pilots Tunic - Awarded DFC
RAF light blue wool officers tailored servcie dress four pocket tunic. Has all brass Kings crown RAF buttons, padded embroidered RAF pilots wings, cuff rank for Flying Officer and place ribbon bar that includes the Distinguished Flying Cross. Comes with it fitted servcie dress belt with matching brass buckle.
Full silk like lining and London tailors label on the inside pocket. Usual light service soiling to the cuff and collar inners otherwise in lovely conditio with a appealing service worn look.
Attributed, not named, to Flying Officer William Longmore DFC. Confirmed flying with No.51 Squadron (Bomber Command) and awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross in 1944. The tunic is not named. This information was passed to me by the previous owner and no paperwork to accompany this item.
