US WW2 101st Airborne Division Paratrooper Jump Jacket - Part 1

Original US WW2 101st Airborne Division M42 Jump Jacket. (Coat Parachute Jumper).
The jump jacket comes in a very good mannequin size 38R and has the 101st Airborne Division 'Screaming Eagles' Shoulder Sleeve Insignia original sewer to the shoulder of the jacket. This is an early non reinforced example. It is produced in olive drab 3 cotton that is in excellent condition. It has the four patch type pockets with double buttoned zinc snap closure flaps. The zipper is functioning. The main closure zipper is marked “Conmar”. The built in belt is present with its blackened metal buckle.
The jacket comes with all original and working zippers and the original belt. In the pocket is still the original cloth label readable and dated 1941.
A very stunning paratrooper jacket of the 101st Airborne Division in a very good condition without damage!

These were issued to paratroop units and were supplanted by the M1943 style with reinforcements and other changes due to their fragile nature. This is a fantastic, early example!
