WW1 German Wound Badge in Black
A very nice, honest worn example. Some of the original black paint worn from off the helmet but retaining a good appearance. The catch on the reverse stamped D.R.G.M, for Deutsches Reichs-Gebrauchsmuster, which translates to "German Imperial Utility Model". It indicates a design or functional feature was registered with the German Imperial Patent Office, offering a "small patent" (petty patent) protection from 1891 until 1945.
