Australia WW2 Named RAAF Warrant Officers Visor Cap

A well used and salty and named example of the RAAF Warrant Officers visor cap manufactured in the UK. A standard dark blue wool serge officer pattern cap with Warrant Officer hat badge. The original black leather chin strap compete but secured by a thin pin replacement to the left side as one of the side securing buttons is missing. The right side black RAAF bakelite button remains. The black mohair cap band fitted with a Warrant Officers hat badge, this is matching in wear to the cap. Some overall staining to the crown. The wool covered visor with considerable staining. To the interior, the brown leather sweatband intact but with about 20% of the stitching loose or missing. Green oilcloth to the underside of the visor and a quilted lining indicating UK manufacture. The celluloid sweat diamond now only 50% through wear. The quilted lining named very clearly to the original wearer " 416138 W/O Anderson . M J". This cap just oozes appealing age and service wear. Fully attributed.
