WW2 Dutch Model 1898 Klewang Cutlass
A good example of the cutlass used almost exclusively in the Dutch East Indies. The curved broad cutlass blade terminating in a clipped point. this with some areas of pitting and now cleaned back, the ricasso maker marked "Hembrug". Original plain wooden grips, plain sheet steel bowl guard with a brass cartouche fitted to the inside of the guard stamped " h-ZOB 98". Togther with its brown leather and brass fitted scabbard.
