German WW1 Schaumburg Lippe Medal Group
Prussian 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class, Schaumburg Lippe Cross of Loyal Service , Hindenburg Cross for Combatants. All full size original medal and court mounted as worn.
The Schaumburg Lippe Cross of Loyal Service was established by Prince Adolph II,
in 1914 and was awarded to the Officers, NCOs and
Soldiers of the Husars Regiments Nr.14 and Nr.7 as
well as to the Hunters Regiment Nr.7.
The award was based on the respective Cross that
was issued during the Franco - Prussian War of
1870 - 1871, by Prince Adolph Georg.
The medal is very rare not only because it was
awarded to just 3 Regiments but also because the
population of the Principality of Schaumburg -
Lippe, during the WW1, was around 50.000 people.
