German WW1 Other Ranks Great Coat 1914 Dated
A rare c.1910 pattern other ranks coat. This early field grey pattern coat differs from the later M1915 Universal pattern in that the wool material is a blue/grey mix rather than the later M1915 universal pattern coat found only in a grey wool. matching turn down collar and concealed hip pockets. Has toned brass Prussian buttons to the single breasted front and one to the rear adjustable strap. No shoulder straps.
The partial cotton lining around the pockets with both Unit and Army Depot ink stamps and dated 1914. There is also a hand written name of the original wearer.
