Commonly seen as a hat badge but this is the actually rare collar size version . Maker makes by Stokes Melbourne. Commercial collar size die struck gilt brass.2 x lug reverse. Made for the commercial market to fit to slouch hats for sale to the public when the government would not allow official badges to be sold off from the Department of Defence. c.1980’s-1990’s.
