WW2 Imperial Japanese Naval Officer's Dirk

1883 Pattern Wartime Imperial Japanese Naval officer dirk. This example is of mid to late wartime construction with machine made plated blade. The blade with a small age rust spot to one side. The grip is white faux celuloid ray skin used on late war pieces with triple brass wire wrap. The scabbard is leather covered wood stitched up to the reverse with all the stitching intact. It has detailed upper and lower fittings in brass but these are now heavily toned with age. The locking stud works well. Overall, a nice untouched example of a later Japanese Naval dirk.
