Australia WW2 Entrenching Tool.
Helve head in its original unpainted condition. It is maker stamped "HB" and "DD" marked. It is undated.

The Helve a lovely light brown wood with nice age stain and polish and a nice match to the helve head. It is also undated but has a WW2 period inspection stamp "FH".

The Pattern 37 web carrier is in extremely good condition and marked "D.C.D" "DD' "1944".

Overall a very good example.
