WW1 Turkish M1890 Bayonet
Model 1890 Turkish Mauser Bayonet. A good example of one of the many varied bayonets used by the Ottoman army during WW1. It has its original plain wooden grips held to the tang with two screw bolts. The cross guard is stamped in Turkish Arabic with a rack number. Has a good muzzle ring and a down-turned hooked quillion. The straight single edged blade has a single fuller to each side and the ricasso has the sultan s crest and arabic inscription over date stamp. Working locking stud. No scabbard.
