Australian Pre Federation Medical Corps Henry Yataghan Bayonet

Australia Pre-Federation Henry (Yataghan) sword bayonet. Curved steel yataghan blade made by German maker Weyersberg Kirschbaum und Cie. (W.K.C.) no other British proof or acceptance stamps ans found on Australian pref federation bayonet orders. The cross guard stamped “AMC /R85”. (Army Medical Corps. Original pressed fiber grips in good condition, working locking stud.
Black leather scabbard with brushed steel fittings. The frog stub with matching rack number “85” stamp. On the reverse the stitching has come undone all the way down the length of the scabbard. The leather remains in a nice hard shell state so this is not an issue.
The bayonet fits well into and out of the scabbard.

Overall a very good condition and extremely rare Australian bayonet.
