1870 War Bronze Wall Plaque

A highly detailed and well sculpted plaque in spelter with a bronze wash. Approx 160mm x 220mm. It would have once been house in a trimmer frame now long gone. The scene of a village street full of onlooking German soldiers of various Regiments , one holding a baby. While a Frenchman kisses his sweetheart. Officially numbered on the edge but not maker marked. Not sure if this of German or French origin. A very impressive piece nevertheless.
