Australia WW2 VDC Officers Field Service Dress Tunic - DCM and Bar Recipient
An unnamed and unfortunately unattributed tunic.
Khaki winter woolen other ranks servcie dress tunic. Has all oxidized AMF buttons, Australia shoulder titles, rising sun collar badges and rank for Captain. Has colour patches for prior servcie in the Great War with the 2nd Australian Divisional Artillery along with Volunteer Defence Corps Formation patches. Has a single red woven wound stripe to the cuff indicating as having been wounded in a prior war ( WW1). The sewn on ribbon bar indicating the award of the Distinguished Conduct Medal and bar, along with a WW1 trio. 1941 dated on the inside factory makers label.
Also has a khaki whistle lanyard.
There is some heavy areas of overall mothing as can be seen in the pictures.
Unfortunately this is not named. More research on the units and ribbon bar combination is needed to be undertaken and then perhaps and identity can be found.
