German WW2 Kreigsmarine Officers Side Cap

A nice original example, showing overall age service wear and tear. Dark blue wall body with gilt bullion piping now heavily toned and with extensive damage to the front area, this probably through a long salty service time. Has an Other ranks Bevo insignia also with heavy wear with much of the eagle completely destroyed. This could be replaced fairly easily. Has an embroidered name to the inside, possibly “Wetig”, on the black cotton lining. If you like your caps with heaps of character, then this is one for you.
