A Napoleonic Period British 1796 Pattern Flank Officers Fighting Sword

1796 pattern stirrup hilt with wire bound ray skin grip. Broad 34mm slightly cure Ed pipe back blade. This with a fair amount of heavy pitting on both side from the tip to half way down the blade. Overall length 95cm. No makers mark.

Basically a jungle version of the battledress blouse. Bottle green HBT material. Brown General servcie bakelite buttons. Victoria, Australian factory cloth label on the interior dated 1943. Has had a unit formation patch on the pocket now removed. Overall has quite a few areas of staining that only adds to the service worn character.  read more
