WW1 HMAS Sydney Souvenir Nut Bowl and Cracker Gavel.
Made from the wood from HMAS Sydney. Turned wooden bowl approx 200mm with a small metal plaque “ HMAS Sydney Destroyed Emden 1914”.
Together with a matching cracker gavel also in wood.
HMAS Sydney was a Chatham-class light cruiser of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). Laid down in 1911 and launched in 1912, the cruiser was commissioned into the RAN in 1913.
