British 1845 Pattern “Gothic Hilt” Infantry Officers Sword.
A good example of the gothic hilted patterns. Brass guard with “VR” cypher. Wire bound ray skin grip in good condition. Very clean bright straight blade by Henry Wilkinson. Acid etched with VR cypher. Officially numbered on the blade back “29200” indicating it was one of only 884 made in the year 1888. Comes with its all steel scabbard that fits very well to the blade.
