A good early example of the musicians pattern sidearm. Brass cruciform hilt with “VR” cypher. Curved blade with etched makers name.
References indicate that this pattern with a cured scimitar blade is both earlier ( around 1837-1850) and rarer than those encounter with a straight blade. No scabbard.

A Rare WW1 Set of Unissued “Fox” Puttees In Original Packaging
A mint condition private purchase set of khaki wool puttees in original paper wrapping.
Complete with the maker marked bundling cord. Large ink stamped “Made in England”.
Fox Brothers produced woollen and worsted fabric in Wellington in Somerset since 1772. From the late 1800s and in the 1900s, production became increasingly focused on fabrics for the British military.
