This ersatz bayonet was made in Germany in the early years of WW1. The height of ersatz bayonet manufacturing was 1916 as the Imperial German war machine rushed to equip the huge number of new troops. This pattern of ersatz bayonet has been designated as EB47.

Australian Pre-Federation QLD Government 1856 Pattern Socket Bayonet

A really good and rare , well marked example of the 1856 Patton as issued to Australian colonial forces. The blade in relatively good clean condition, working socket ring, the ricasso stamped with proof marks. The top of the socket marked “Q G” with broad arrow. Comes with matching leather scabbard fitted with brass fittings and stamped “QG 996”. Bayonet fits well to the scabbard.  read more
