Australia WW2 1940 Army Slouch Hat
A near unissued example army slouch hat, Khaki fur felt. Brim re- enforced edge and hook and eye side. Riding sun hat badge and brown leather chinstrap. Single fold khaki wool Puggaree. A nice early war dated example. The brown leather sweatband clearly maker marked and dated 1940. The area above the hook and eye has been re-stitched.

The naming is almost all worn off and hardly illegible. Close examination reveals it is named to “….JOSEPH TRISCOTT…”
