Australian WW2 Duperite Dispatch Riders Helmet

Has all of its original khaki green painted finish, the leather and khaki cotton neck flaps are complete and undamaged retaining the buckle and strap. A good original liner but as usual the felt inner lining with some moth damage. 1942 dated on the red inside decal label.  read more

The steel shell retains is original green painted finish and is more than likely a WW2 produced example with folded rim. The brown leather sweatband dated 1956. Web chin strap assembly. Complete with a WW2 period helmet camouflage net.

Japan WW2 Army Enlisted Ranks Field Service Cap

A mid to late war example. Brown wool body with wicker mesh lining with printed ink characters.Fitted with its correct late war economy chinstrap. The separately applied wool star insignia looks to have been reapplied identified by a very small amount of clear glue to the edges just showing. This is not detracting at all and is not really noticeable but I have to mention it.  read more

Based on the pre war British cap of the same pattern. Dated 1944. Whilst this is an official government made and issue item it is doubtful that these were ever issued and certainly not worn by the AIF.
