A very good and rare large brass bell, with large engraved Crowned “ AM 1940” engraving. Around the bottom edge stamped “ Presented by R G Dixon Melton Mowbray”. The crown with makers mark “GB”. Uncrowned bugle in toned brass. 2x lug reverse. 45x34mm. While the bugle. Was used by various pre federation rifle regiments this one is most likely used by the Ballarat Rangers and Ballarat Ballarat Rifle Corps. C1860’s and probably had a red felt backing.
