British WW2 Fire Fighting Servcies Helmet

Light olive green painted finish. Has an original black leather neck flap in nice supple condition. Black oil cloth liner and chinstrap. Dated on the underside of the rim 1943. Issued and used. Y both civilian AFS and military fore fighting units.

Usually these are found often with damage to the neck flap or are the post war Dutch pattern.

A large all sheet steel made piece from one of the larger size aerial bombs used during WW2 by the RAAF. (250-500lb). No markings easily noticeable. Original black painted finish with overall areas of corrosion (this is now stable).
