Australia WW2 Army Slouch Hat - 1942 Dated

A good service worn example. Army khaki fur felt with press stud side. Oxidised Rising Sun hat badge to the left brim. A striking looking hat with a really broad overlocked brim edge. This with some wear in particular to the front. Khaki cotton folded puggaree with no insignia. Leather sweatband intact with a Victorian makers mark and dated 1942. A rather aged example with the head being in a near relic condition with lots of rust wear and corrosion, all now stable and firm. The original belt hook still intact. The wooden stick in good order and with the original stamped markings dated 1916. Complete with the bottom screw cap.
