Prussia Frederick II Medal For the 1757 Victory Near Prague.

Awarded during the Seven Years War Frederick II was victorious against the Austrian army at the Battle of Prague on 6 May 1757, but his losses were so great he was unable to take the city, and settled for besieging it. On 18 June 1757, Frederick suffered his first major defeat at the Battle of Kolín, which forced him to abandon his invasion of Bohemia.

A fine example of the pre war paattern for NCO’s.
Cornflower blue melton wool with scarlet red facings. Gilt NCO tresse to the collar and Swedish cuffs. The shoulder straps with embroidered Royal “FA” cyphers. Plain polished gilt brass buttons to the front, the rear skirt and cuffs. Loops for a medal group to the chest. Full black rayon cotton lining and tailors label.

Army other ranks winter four pocket service dress tunic. Pre 1942 pattern with false waist belt. Khaki winter wool with all oxidized AMF buttons, rising sun collar badges and nationality shoulder titles. 2/10th Infantry Battalion colour patches to both shoulders. The manufacturers/date label has been removed. There is an owners initials written in ink on the inside.”JHT”.
